This doesn't feel British at all and I know about stuff like that. What does this even mean? Because kettle + tea bag combo makes you happy? If you're that upset that the devs haven't done these things yet you could always download the Hydrocraft and Real Guns mod and sit in a restaraunt eating Fried Chicken (of which there is in the game). I'm sure they'll worry more about localization and minor details like these as they approach 1.0. Remoulade is a sandwich spread, like Vegimite. The game "feels British"? What does that even mean? I'd like to agree with the few valid points you may be making but this is too jingoist for my tastes. Are you really complaining about chicken and cooking oil? There's plenty of fried food in the game, go find it before it rots. They chose Kentucky for Fort Knox, which is in the process of being added. Makes the game worse plot-wise? There has literally been no plot in the game for a long time (since Baldspot's days) and it's still a ways off.but you knew that, right? Also, do you honestly expect Americans to just pack up their families and leave ALL their guns at home during the apocalypse? "There should be AR's and AK's everywhere" simply isn't true you're talking like this is Qatar or somewhere in Africa.you don't just find assault weapons laying around all that often without the owner nearby. The devs have stated in the past that there won't be any fully automatic rifles in the vanilla game, partially because of engine limitations and partially because of challenge. That would be no guns at all and the zeds all lining up in a queue to take a bite (Brits are great at queueing). I don't see how a lack of readily available assault weapons is "transplanting British culture on an American location". Isn't it a bit premature to complain about this now when they are literally in the process of adding these and many other details? PZ is too British to be set in Kentucky as it is.ĭo you even live in Kentucky? Even if you did, this is still an awful lot of nit-picking over a game that doesn't even have all of its details finished/fleshed out. It just makes the game less immersive and worse plot wise.Įdit: What is this Remoulade I see everywhere? I had never heard of it before PZ.Īnother Edit: Where is the oil for cooking? We love greasy food and while french fries make an appearance, I'd expect there to be fried chicken around the place that started KFC. Also, if they do consider 1993 style weapons gamebreaking, why did they choose Kentucky over a European location? It makes absolutely no sense. It would still be loud as hell, ammo still could be rare. I don't think there would be any gamebreaking differences between the pistol as it is now and an AR/AK with a 20 or 30 round magazine. They're just transplanting British culture on an American location.

I live in the USA and this game is not doing it's location justice. This is set in 1993 right? There should be AKs and ARs everywhere, not even mentioning machetes and other bladed weapons. Let me know your favorite Project Zomboid mod in the comments below. Why did they do this when the devs are European? It just doesn't feel like I'm in Kentucky when I play this game because it feels British. It goes without saying that Project Zomboid is a fantastic game in its own right but a strong modding community always makes a game stay alive.
